Pumpkin-Carrot Cookies for Fall
Autumn is just around the corner and with it the time to make yourself comfortable.
What could be better than a recipe for dog biscuits? Not only are they easy to prepare, but they also bring the taste and smell of autumn straight into your kitchen. And you'll make your four-legged friend very happy, too.
Of course, you can also bake the dog biscuits at any other time of the year and vary the ingredients individually if your four-legged friend has a special preference.
You need these ingredients:
- 200g wholemeal spelt flour
- 100g carrot-pumpkin puree (peel carrots, wash Hokkaido, chop both, cook until done and puree)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
And here's how it works:
- Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Preheat your oven to about 180 degrees top and bottom heat.
- Using a tablespoon, place small heaps of dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and press them down slightly.
- Let the cookies bake for about 20-30 minutes and then turn the temperature down to about 120 degrees. Let the cookies dry for a while with the oven door slightly open.
- Finally, place the cookies on a wire rack or similar to cool and let them dry for a few hours.
Tip: To give your homemade dog biscuits a nice shape, you can use a baking mat or baking cups.
Your autumn dog biscuits are ready! Have fun trying them out!
